He’s back!  Thanks to literally one of the only good things Bush ever did, John Forte has been pardoned and is already back in the studio.  Here’s a quick little video of John and Talib rocking over Kanye’s “Homecoming.”  People may think of John’s verse on “We’re Tryin’ To Stay Alive” and forget his other stuff, but this dude could really rhyme.  I hope he picks up right where he left off.  Welcome home.

On the same day as the wackness that is the video for “Jumpin’ (Out The Window)” leaked, Raphael shows these dudes what real R&B is supposed to sound like.  The Way I See It was one of the more slept on releases of the past year, make sure you’re up on it.

Yes y’all, back once again with the latest edition of SNSS.  The recession might be wreaking havoc throughout the economic sector and causing layoffs like crazy (even at our parent company), but we just keep it moving steadily towards show #200 and our 4 year anniversary.  Imagine that.  We’ve been on the air longer than some of y’all went to college.  Zing.

On this week’s show, J returned from his trip to JamRock and regaled us with tales that will make everyone in the NW remember why our winters suck.  Musically, we dipped across genres and played joints from Q-Tip, Jazzanova, Passion Pit, Jay-Z, Shad, Adele, Common, and more.  Plus we had one of our strongest lineups for local music with tracks from the Blue Scholars, Dyme Def, and Framework.  Just to top it off, we debuted Convinced’s “Mass Appeal 2009 (Remix)” a few hours before it hit the blogosphere.  Good times & good music.  It’s what we do.

Fresh off releasing the dope video for “I’ll Be In The Sky” (currently my jam), Bobby Ray is back with some more visuals for “Lonely People.”  All my fellow antisocial folks out there understand how this jawn sums up why I always turn down those offers to hit the clubs.  No thanks, I’m goooood.

TiRon was named Hip-Hop Official’s artist of the week recently and they put together this little piece for y’all who are still sleeping on this dude.  By now, you better know that LA is absolutely killing it these days, and TiRon is gonna do big things this year.  Be on the lookout for his new mixtape dropping soon and an appearance on Sound Session.

While I was hoping the latest single from John’s Evolver album would be “Cross The Line,” this one will do pretty nicely.  It probably won’t break out on most radio stations, but the video could be perfect for VH1.  Plus, us white people do love us some John Legend.
