Young Roddy from Curren$y’s Jet Life crew drops some visuals for one of the records off his Good Sense mixtape.  Dude is raw, though I was hoping the tape would be over original production.  That said, Roddy kills it throughout.  Download it here.

Mayer Hawthorne links up with Seattle’s own Jake One to create this super smooth ode to a classic party starting drink. The Hennessy folks need to reach out on a licensing deal ASAP.

This song always reminded me of some classic Brand New Heavies…specifically the “Saturday Night” joint with Mos Def that Dilla remixed. Mayer’s in town tonight for Seattle University’s Quadstock festival and something tells me we’ll see this one performed.

Just in time for his weekend here in Seattle (shows tonight at Seattle U and tomorrow at Neumos), Ab-Soul drops his newest video, this time for “Terrorist Threats” with Danny Brown and the lovely miss Jhene Aiko.  I’ve been hoping to play this on Sound Session for a while, but it’s a bit too dirty to clean up.  Works pretty nicely for the web though!  Dope record.

Shout to the homegirl Chaka for putting me up on this new track and video from A Yellow Man, a 3 person group from the UK.  The 2 MC’s and 1 vocalist combine to make a great record, with a message.  Download here.

Not a whole lot to say this week, other than RIP to MCA from the Beastie Boys and Junior Seau.  Two legendary figures in music and sports, and both gone way too soon from this life.  Sad all around.

After touring with THEESatisfaction across Europe for the last 3 weeks, J. Moore made his triumphant return on this week’s SNSS.  He also brought with him one of our favorite producers and all around cool dude, 14KT.  Those of you in the know will remember KT from his Athletic Mic League days (the same crew that spawned Buff1 and Mayer Hawthorne), but if you can’t recall those days, perhaps you would recognize him as the reigning Red Bull Big Tune beat battle champion.  If you aren’t familiar, please drop what you’re doing and check out his beats, starting with his newest project, A Friendly Game Of KT.  Without exaggeration, one of the illest producers in the game…hands down.

While KT co-hosted the show with us, we also aired our recent interview with Slaughterhouse…errr, 3/4th’s of the crew at least.  Joey was on the injured list with a tooth issue (hey…tour life is no joke), but Crooked I, Royce Da 5’9″, and Joell Ortiz came through to talk about their upcoming Welcome To Our House album, touring, their webisode series, and more.  I’m hoping to post up the video of the interview shortly, but for now, enjoy the audio…and the rest of the show!
