The man behind Blur and The Gorillaz, Damon Albarn, is finally preparing to release his first solo album and “Lonely Press Play” is the first offering from it. Featuring video shot by Damon himself on a tablet, the visuals show scenes from Tokyo, London, Dallas, Utah, Colchester, North Korea, Iceland, and Devon.

Rochelle is one of the dopest up and coming R&B singers around, and yet another talented artist from Toronto. The T-Dot has really had it on lock the last few years, very impressive. Can’t help but hear a little Aaliyah in this KLSH produced jam. Baby Girl would be proud.

Another amazing artist coming out of the UK, Kwabs, might be my favorite new voice in music. His vocals are really powerful, though they are tempered down a bit on this specific record. Great stuff.
The EP is out February 3rd.

Looks like the ASAP Mob is gearing up for another group release and this is the first offering we’ve seen from it. While I don’t expect them to follow this vibe for the whole project, I’m glad this one isn’t a trap record.
This one is straight out of ’95. And that’s a beautiful thing.
THURZ and Cali Martyr showed you can make a twerk friendly banger and still spit on this one, though I do prefer the dirty “God Damn” edit. The video dropped a while ago, but I’ve been sleeping on posting. Still one of my favorite tracks of the year and the visuals just add to the appeal.
One of my favorite new groups on the scene is London Grammar and here’s they’ve just released this video of their Kavinsky cover for “Nightcall.” Great stuff, though if we’re talking LG covers, I have to mention their epic take on Chris Isaak too:
