My good friend from back in the day, Dhru, runs a company called Shocking Goat and they make a really dope series of watches. All cards on the table, I don’t even rock watches, but every time I’ve showed friends or artists “The Fresh,” they love it. K.R.I.T. even rocked one at our Summer Jam:

3 guys, 44 days, 11 countries, 18 flights, 38 thousand miles, an exploding volcano, 2 cameras and almost a terabyte of footage… all to turn 3 ambitious linear concepts based on movement, learning and food ….into 3 beautiful and hopefully compelling short films…..
= a trip of a lifetime.

Now I’m definitely taking a vacation…
Aloe’s given us numerous awesome performances of this record (remember this one?), but it’s so classic that it deserves yet another. Between the suit and the drink, he’s got a sort of Bob Harris, “for relaxing times, make it Suntory time” swag going on.
If you missed the time Aloe came to the Sound Session studios and absolutely demolished a live version of “Politician” for us, enjoy:
While the commercial is a little over the top in trying to make Gatorade look like THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN LIFE, it’s still pretty damn fresh.
Un court-métrage de 2004. Écoutez, je ne sais pas ce que vous dites…mais vous êtes belle.
When “Otis” dropped this past week, I couldn’t help but chuckle at all the praise filled tweets and blogs, as if the track’s quality somehow caught folks off guard. It’s Hov and Yeezy! What do you expect?
This mini documentary really just teases us with what it might be like to live the uber-baller, can’t tell me nothin’ kind of life that Jay and Kanye exist in. When you live in this plane, whatever you want to do, you just will it and it’s done. Want to record a masterpiece with your friends in Hawaii? No problem, MBDTF is your result. Want to switch locales to Australia, rent castles, hang out with Russell Crowe, and immortalize him in music history? You got it.
Despite a few folks trying to get their attention, there isn’t any competition in hip-hop for these two. They live on the throne, we watch it.
Honestly, I don’t know if I’ve ever watched one of these ESPN “My Wish” segments without tearing up. This particular piece highlighting a young cancer patient named Brendan Galanaugh and his idol, Landon Donovan, was no different. It would have been great without Donovan’s storybook ending to the day, but once he scored those goals, it was a wrap. Good stuff.
*dead*
I hope youngsters see the absurdity of these corny a capella battles and they eventually die off.
Big shout to Daytona for sending over the behind the scenes footage of him and 6th in the studio cooking up a record called “Camelot.” I don’t think fans get to see these scenes enough, and certainly, nobody gets to see 6th’s beard enough. No word on where/when this song will be released, but I’m sure you’ll hear it on SNSS when it drops!
