Is this really the official video? Even for a viral clip, it seems a bit shoddy for ‘Ye. Either way, I love this song. Mood music…that I can kind of relate to right now. Sigh.
Yeah, Cudi’s on the hook on this too, along with Hudson…not sure why nobody ever credits him…
Anyway, here’s the long awaited video for Kanye’s “Paranoid,” one of my favorite songs from the past year. Unfortunately, this video doesn’t really do a lot for me, mainly cause I don’t think Aneesa from the Road Rules/Real World Challenge Rihanna is that hot. Sue me. Song is still the JAM though.
The brand new video for ‘Ye’s “Welcome To Heartbreak” just leaked today, completely out of nowhere. While I really dig this track, I’m not quite sure how I feel about the video yet. Since I work with videos all day, I instantly recognized all the “effects” in this clip as various video errors that are generally the result of poor sourcing/encoding. Kanye, of course, had the director do ’em all on purpose…and some look dope, but others look wack to me. Either way, it’s entertaining and I’m a sucker for bright colors and trippy effects. Also good to see Cudi get in the clip too…he’s about to be huge this year.
I’m still waiting for “Paranoid” to be a single though. That’s the jam.
The interviewer is ehhh, but the #1 Human Being is entertaining as always. This will give you a little insight if you’re still confused to what ‘Ye has been doing with Graduation and 808’s & Heartbreak. Internal swagger is truly off the charts…and 808’s gets better on every listen. I really like that record and I’m still a proud backpacker. So there.

This is my jam right now. Sure, it may be a little corny/emo…and perhaps it gives you flashbacks of roller skating songs from back in the day…but ‘Ye and Cudi killed this one. I’ve been singing it all week.

This song is so dope to me. The animation in the video isn’t my favorite style, since I generally prefer it more cartoon-ish, less artistic, but it works well and looks exactly like ‘Ye and his mannerisms. I hope he hasn’t started smoking cigarettes in real life though. Most. Pointless. Drug. Everrrr.
Love it, especially because it’s open to so much interpretation. Thoughts? Ready for 808’s and Heartbreak, or are you scared?

I love studio footage, especially when it involves Kanye To The. Paparazzi squabbles aside, ‘Ye’s life must be great. He literally flies all around the world with his best friends, making dope music in amazing studios. Sounds pretty good to me. In related news, if you haven’t heard yet, 808’s and Heartbreak has been unofficially pushed up to November by Kanye himself. We’ll see if Def Jam acquiesces.
