Are you up on Freddie Joachim by now? He’s a really dope producer from SoCal who makes some ill, complete productions…not just beats. Peep this free EP he did for those lonely nights…

A lot of people have been asking me about El Prez’ “Hammerman” joint that I’ve played on the last few Sound Session episodes. Well, ask no more because the project is finally here for y’all to enjoy. Prezzo linked up with his partner in crime, Dale Danja, to drop the Perfect Strangers EP and they’ve put it up for free download. Make sure you grab this one and then get Prez’ Daily Show project that came out last year if you’ve been sleeping…

Chyea. The long awaited follow up to Inverse‘s first project, So Far, is finally here with the So True EP. Featuring dope production from Kno (of the CunninLynguists), Cook Classics, Adam Berg, and Decap, alongside Tunji and Toby’s excellent rhymes, this is a must have. Best release of ’09!
- Rise and Shine [produced by Cook Classics]
- So True feat. Deacon (of CunninLynguists) [produced by Decapbeats]
- SunnyCalifornia Part 2 [produced by Adam Berg & Cook Classics]
- Spark My Soul feat. Substantial [produced by Kno]
- Beautiful City [produced by Cook Classics]
- Goodnight Goodnight [produced by Kno]

Seattle People: come see Inverse on January 17th at Chop Suey. It’ll be a great night, trust me.
Then you’re lame. Freshness from Tunji, Toby, Cook Classics, and Paul Dateh on the violin. Inverse’s upcoming So True EP drops any moment now…get ready.
Seattle People: Remember, you can catch Inverse making their first appearance in the 206 on January 17th at Chop Suey. Yes, that Chop Suey. Don’t worry, there won’t be any of that idiocy going down that Saturday…just good times and great music. Be there.
Chyea. Not only is Grynch the homey, but he’s one of the best artists we have here in the Pacific Northwest. He recently linked up with the production crew of Two Good Men for this EP to tide y’all over until his next release. If this is your first time hearing dude, download the EP featuring Tunji, Geologic (of Blue Scholars), and Thig Natural (of the Physics) at GetGrynch.com, and then go cop his last album, My Second Wind, either on his MySpace or at iTunes. You won’t be disappointed.
One of my fellow “real hip-hop heads” on the radio, Peter Rosenberg, linked with Oddisee to whip up this little EP featuring Torae, Skyzoo, Daytona, Saigon, Buckshot, and (the lovely) Nikki Jean. The concept was simple: all Oddisee beats + dope MC’s + one day to record it all. I’m sure it was hectic, but it turned out great. Download link and tracklisting after the jump!
You know that old saying, “when you’re not busy, that’s when you need to worry?” Well, thankfully, it doesn’t seem like I’ll be worrying anytime soon. The downside of being [Zoolander] ridiculously good looking [/Zoolander] busy is that I end up getting way behind on all the dopeness that’s sent to me.
My man M.O.S. from Crew54 hit me with this new EP from his partner in rhyme G-Christ, and I was finally able to peep it today. If you’re sleeping on the Crew, they’re some really dope artists from Texas making earnest, boom bap, soulful ish. I really recommend you check them out. You can start here, then make sure you peep their group work as well:
1. Intro – prod. by Kingverse
2. Living Big – prod. by Reeplay
3. Forsake His Love ft. Alpha 20/20 – prod. by Alpha 20/20
4. Kcuf G-Christ (Skit)
5. Put It Down ft. DDC prod. by The Fiyamen
