The Meaning of Dope (one of the illest blogs out there) just posted up this great footage of Wyclef, Lauryn, and Pras being interviewed in Toronto in 1994. Hard to believe that’s almost 15 years ago! Seattle people – Clef will be here with Kardinal Offishall at the Showbox on Monday. Should be a hot show, don’t miss it.

Sidenote: watching them hit that juicebar has inspired me to get a smoothie, sounds good as hell on a hot day.

Nappy Roots – “No Static”

Most days, my inbox is filled with some of the worst music ever created…no hyperbole.  Tonight I was happy to see a new Nappy Roots joint, and then even more excited for it to be real dope.  That second verse is ridiculous.  Smooth beat too, with a nice usage of Greg N-I-C-EEEEEEEEEEE.  Peep it:

For the record, I like this song and the Nappy Roots. Plus, I applaud them for making a good, positive single. But you know the drill:

I was with him for a second…seems like a fresh haircut & some new cologne might make you feel like you’re having a good day…but then because you’re “feelin so good,” it’s time to change the color to your phone?  Unless he means cop a new phone, I’m just picturing someone having a great day and thinking…”you know what? I’ma change my Sidekick bumpers!”  Aw naw, hell naw indeed.
