We’re celebrating our 8 year anniversary of SNSS tonight. That’s a lot of shows. Lots of numbers on the boards.
Just came across this official video Yuna did for the TWINSMATIC remix to her “Live Your Life” single and now I’m on a hunt to find out more information about these producers. Their Soundcloud page is blowing my mind right now. Heavy.
No, this isn’t super producer Hit-Boy interviewing Jay-Z. Instead, this is Hit…rapping? And it turned out dope! Bink! on production for this record, introducing the producer to the world as a MC. I’m rooting for this kid, but he probably doesn’t need it. With all his success lately, it seems like a foregone conclusion that he’ll be a major player in the game for quite some time.
BJ’s “Dream II” video features footage of his recent trip to one of the best cities in the world, Paris. With all due respect to The Weeknd, Miguel, and Frank Ocean, BJ’s Pineapple Now-Laters might be the best R&B release of the past year or so. Stop sleeping.
I was pretty apprehensive when I heard this was a “live” video, but I actually like what they’ve done here. Mixing in live footage with what appears to be staged model shots (or I suppose that really could be the LA crowd…they’re winning with the females down there) and alternating between live and studio audio was a nice touch. Plus, as long as you aren’t prone to epileptic seizures (no, seriously…heed the warning at the beginning), the effects are great. Kanye even gets directorial credit on this one. Yeezy taught you.
While I’m standing by my earlier pick for song of the year, this has to be right up there. Toss in a black and white video shot in Paris that complements the song nicely (letting it star on its own) and I’m all in.
Instant classic from arguably the best voice we have in music right now.
Pretty fresh and I’m a sucker for anything shot in Paris. It’s also a great record as the weather finally starts to turn here in Seattle. There’s not a city in the world that’s nicer than the 206 when the sun’s out…
Cole and Drizzy could have made a larger production for the “In The Morning” video, but these visuals shot during their European string of concerts works nicely. The best way to start your day!
Aloe and company perform two records live in Parisian cafes. While “Hey Brother” was dope, this rendition of “I Need A Dollar” was insane. I’m still happy I was able to witness this in person too. I think I need to leak the mp3 of that performance soon…
Speaking of Paris, after watching Robin Hood last night, I officially have a crush on Lea Seydoux:
Yessir!
