The Audacity of Dope

To me, this is the best record that showcases Sam’s voice on In The Lonely Hour.  I still get chills at a few parts of this track.  Powerful vocals.

The Zane Lowe produced highlight from Sam Smith’s In The Lonely Hour is the official two step record of 2014 and now it gets some visuals, documenting some of Sam’s recent tour life.  Hopefully you’ve had a chance to catch him on his first American tour because his voice is incredible to hear live.

J. Moore was down in California for a wedding this week, so our homey (and the official DJ of the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks) DV-One filled in on this episode of SNSS.  We played new tracks from Rick Ross, HaLo, Jake Lambo, Consequence, Homeboy Sandman, Logic, Bun B, Raury, Bipolar Sunshine, GoldLink, Sinead Harnett, Kiesza, and more.  Making it quick this week so I can see what this iPhone 6 is all about (and no, I didn’t get the Plus…that thing is insane), plus I need to mentally prepare myself for hanging out with George Takei tomorrow morning and Sam Smith tomorrow afternoon.  That’s a tough combo to beat!

The Sam Smith American takeover is near. The voice from Disclosure’s “Latch” is close to breaking out in a big way here in the states, perhaps starting with tonight’s performance on Saturday Night Live, and he just released the video for “Stay With Me” off his upcoming album.  In The Lonely Hour drops May 26th.
